Koingo Software has updated Contact Keeper X, its address book for Mac OS X, to version 3.1, improving compatibility with the next generation operating system and squishing some bugs.

Contact Keeper lets you store an unlimited number of contacts in list or in multiple lists, according to the folks at Koingo. You can store all sorts of info about individuals, ranging from addresses to nicknames to birthdays. Contact Keeper lets you copy addresses directly to the Clipboard, print off a single contact or everyone on your list, and more. It’s also Palm OS compatible so you can import over 30 fields (per contact) from your Palm device’s Address Book.

Beside the enhanced Mac OS X compatibility, version 3.1 fixes problems with sorting (if one sorted the column, the selection would stay in the same place, but the wrong Contact info would be shown), the app would crash and burn on a PowerBook G3 if the CAPSLOCK key was down and you used the arrow keys to scroll down the list. The update adds a divider between the Anniversary field and Other for a better appearance. The tab panel has been moved down one pixel to line up with the listbox.
