October 22nd Mac OS
Today Apple sent out the invitations to the highly anticipated iPad event scheduled for October 22. While firm details are still sparse surrounding the event, it’s safe to assume that news will fall in line with the latest rumors. Two new iPads, new MacBook Pros, new Mac Pros, and the launch of OS X Mavericks are due for the holiday season, and Apple will likely be happy to oblige.

The event itself will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Mission Street in San Francisco, and we can expect some huge announcements there. The invite reads “We still have a lot to cover,” so we know that the iPad refresh isn’t the only news planned for next week.
The new iPad and iPad Mini have been discussed extensively in the rumor mill, and we’re pretty confident in what to expect. We’re likely to see a slimmer and more stylish shell sporting silver and “space gray,” but a golden iPad seems too garish to release. The iPad Mini could receive a Retina upgrade and a shrunken version of the A6X SoC. Meanwhile, the 9.7-inch iPad will likely include the 64-bit A7X SoC and perhaps a fingerprint scanner.
The Mavericks OS X release date should be October 22, 2013 now that Fall Apple Event has been confirmed for that date. Since Apple launched its new iOS 7 mobile operating system, Apple users have also been awaiting the release of the new Mavericks OS X, along with the new Macbook Pro 2013. Here are my predictions for the October 22 event. The Golden Master is already in the hands of developers. OS X 10.9 Mavericks will be announced as the lead-off. » October 22nd Apple Event #21 Oct. That is kind of weird that it tried to look for a Mac OS 9 folder when you need Mac OS X to get Mavericks from the App. Updated October 22, 2019 In December of 1983, Apple Computers ran its famous '1984' Macintosh television commercial on a small, unknown station solely to make the commercial eligible for awards. The commercial cost $1.5 million and only ran once in 1983, but news and talk shows everywhere replayed it, making TV history.
French website MacG is reporting that the new iPads will be available on the 30th or 31st, the new MacBook Pro will launch on the 24th or 25th, and the Mac Pro won’t launch until the 15th of November. The track record of this site is spotty at best, so take these dates with a grain of salt. We’ll likely see all of these new devices ship before Thanksgiving, but specific dates are suspect.
We can also expect to see the launch of OS X Mavericks. The golden master was recently released to developers, so the public release is bound to be right around the corner. Apple usually likes to launch hardware right alongside its major OS releases, so expect the new MacBook Pros and Mac Pros to be running the new operating system.
